Job Description
Faculty of Life Sciences
A laboratory assistant is required to service a wide range of taught practical classes in the Stopford Building Teaching Laboratories during both semesters (i.e. term time only). The post is available on a full time basis from September 20th up until 24th December 2010 (14 weeks) and then again from 24th January to 3rd June 2011 (19 weeks). Some flexibility in the hours of work will be required to accommodate classes which have different starting and finishing times. A further 33 week contract will be available, term time only, from Sept 2011, subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should be numerate, literate, and willing to be trained in any laboratory procedures. No previous experience is required as training will be given, but excellent team working is essential.
