School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Based in the Rolls-Royce UTC in Electrical Systems for Extreme Environments at the University of Manchester, you will be responsible for undertaking research into the design and construction of advanced and innovative electrical machines for marine and aerospace propulsion systems and which operate in unconventional environmental conditions.
Research will be undertaken independently and in collaboration with postgraduates, Research Associate's and Rolls-Royce staff. You will have experience of the analysis, design and construction of electrical machines, and a PhD, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (about to be submitted or obtained).
The post is available immediately, and is tenable for a period of three years.
